Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Glenhome Avenue, Aberdeen, from its junction with Victoria Street to the rear of number 26 Victoria Street from 09:00 on 21st November, 2022, until 17:00 on 22nd November, 2022. An alternative route is available via Victoria Street, Glen Road and Glen Drive; Skene Place, Aberdeen, from its junction with Station Road to the car park entrance at the rear of the Spider Web public house from 09:00 on 22nd November, 2022, until 17:00 on 23rd November, 2022. An alternative route is available via Victoria Street and Station Road; Gladstone Place, Aberdeen, from its junction with Victoria Street to the boundary between number 1 and 3 Gladstone Place from 09:00 on 24th November, 2022, until 17:00 on 25th November, 2022. An alternative route is available via Victoria Street and Berrywell Gardens; Skene Place, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 1a and 1b Skene Place to the entrance to Carnegie Hall from 09:00 on 28th November, 2022, until 17:00 on 29th November, 2022. An alternative route is available via Victoria Street and Station Road; Union Row, Dyce, Aberdeen, from its junction with Victoria Street to the rear of number 125 Victoria Street from 09:00 on 1st December, 2022, until 17:00 on 2nd December, 2022. An alternative route is available via Victoria Street and Station Road; Glen Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Victoria Street to the unadopted carriageway between number 1 and 3 Glen Road from 09:00 on 5th December, 2022, until 17:00 on 6th December, 2022. An alternative route is available via Victoria Street, Glenhome Avenue and Glen Drive; Skene Place, Aberdeen, from its junction with Victoria Street to the car park entrance to the Premier convenience store from 09:00 on 8th December, 2022, until 17:00 on 9th December, 2022. An alternative route is available via Victoria Street and Station Road; Union Row, Dyce Aberdeen, from its junction with Station Road to the rear of number 12 Station Road from 09:00 on 12th December, 2022, until 17:00 on 13th December, 2022. An alternative route is available via Victoria Street and Station Road.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Fri; Cordyce View, Don Place, Dyce, Farburn Place, Farburn Terrace, Gladstone Place, Glen Road, Glenhome Avenue, John Street, Dyce, Skene Place, Station Road, Dyce, Summer Place, Union Row, Dyce, Victoria Street, Dyce, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 21st November, 2022, until 17:00 on 19th December, 2022.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
