Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Golf Road, Bieldside, Aberdeen, from its junction with Marchbank Road to the boundary between number 12 Marchbank Road and 63 North Deeside Road from 09:00 on 20th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 21st March, 2023. An alternative route is available via North Deeside Road, Bieldside Station Road and Marchbank Road; Baillieswells Terrace, Aberdeen, from its junction with Baillieswells Road to the boundary between number 2 Baillieswells Terrace and 7 Baillieswells Road from 09:00 on 20th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 22nd March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Baillieswells Road, Baillieswells Crescent, Baillieswells Place and Baillieswells Drive; Cairn Road, Bieldside, Aberdeen, from its junction with Baillieswells Road to the unadopted footpath between number 14 Baillieswells Road and 12 Cairnlee Park from 09:00 on 20th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 22nd March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Baillieswells Road and North Deeside Road; Baillieswells Terrace, Aberdeen, from its junction with Baillieswells Drive to the boundary between number 4 and 5 Baillieswells Terrace from 09:00 on 23rd March, 2023, until 17:00 on 24th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Baillieswells Road, Baillieswells Crescent, Baillieswells Place and Baillieswells Drive; North Deeside Road, Aberdeen, from its eastern junction to Bieldside Lodge and a point 10 metres in a southerly direction from 09:00 on 23rd March, 2023, until 17:00 on 24th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via North Deeside Road and the western junction to Bieldside Lodge; Cairn Road, Bieldside, Aberdeen, from its junction with the unadopted slip road for numbers 38 and 40 Cairn Road to the boundary between number 31 and 33 Cairn Road from 09:00 on 25th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 26th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Baillieswells Road and North Deeside Road; Cairn Road, Bieldside, Aberdeen, from its junction with North Deeside Road to the boundary between number 2 and 4 Cairn Road from 09:00 on 27th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 28th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via North Deeside Road and Baillieswells Road; Baillieswells Crescent, Aberdeen, from its junction with Baillieswells Place to the boundary between number 15 and 17 Baillieswells Crescent from 09:00 on 27th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 28th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Baillieswells Road; Baillieswells Place, Aberdeen, from its junction with Baillieswells Crescent to the boundary between number 4 and 6 Baillieswells Place from 09:00 on 29th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 30th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Baillieswells Drive, Baillieswells Terrace, Baillieswells Road and Baillieswells Crescent; Baillieswells Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with North Deeside Road to the entrance for St Devenicks Church from 09:00 on 29th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 30th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via North Deeside Road and Cairn Road.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Fri; Baillieswells Crescent, Baillieswells Drive, Baillieswells Place, Baillieswells Road, Baillieswells Terrace, Bieldside Station Road, Cairn Road, Bieldside, Golf Road, Bieldside, Gowanbrae Road, Marchbank Road, North Deeside Road, Bieldside, Old Ferry Road, Prospecthill Road, Quarry Road, Cults, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 20th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 30th April, 2023.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.
