PRE-APPLICATION Consultation Event for the proposed Broughty Ferry – MONIFIETH ACTIVE TRAVEL – DIGHTY BRIDGE AND ROCK REVETMENT REPROFILING.

Notice is hereby given that Dundee City Council, (having its registered address at Dundee House, 50 North Lindsay Street, Dundee DD1 1QE), plans to hold a pre-application consultation event regarding proposed licensable marine activity associated with the Broughty Ferry – Monifeth Active Travel.

The proposed activities will be located at the Dighty Burn outlet Monifieth, Angus and immediately east and west of the outlet. The activities consists of excavation works, piling, foundation installation, and installation of piers and bridge deck as well as; construction of steps, installation rock armour, the installation of temporary outfalls to the Dighty Burn, installation and removal of temporary bunds and general site works all to facilitate the construction of a replacement bridge at the Dighty Burn and realignment / replacement of rock revetments to the east and west of the Dighty. All these works will require a marine license.

The pre-application consultation event will be held on 16th December 2022 between 13:00 and 16:00

The pre-application consultation event will be held at Castle Green Leisure Centre, Castle Green, Castle Approach, Broughty ferry, Dundee

Persons wishing to provide comments on the proposed licensable marine activities noted above can do so by writing to the prospective applicant:

Comments should be dated and should clearly state the name (in block capitals) and full return email or postal address of those making comment. Please note that comments made to the prospective application are not representations to the Scottish Ministers. Comments will be included in the pre-application consultation report.

When an application for a marine licence is submitted to Scottish Ministers, an opportunity will be given for representations to be made to the Scottish Ministers on the application.
