(B7073 Main Road,Crookedholm) (Temporary Road Closure)

Order 2022

On 08/11/22 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow replacement of signs on Rail Bridges including lamp fitting

B7073 Main Road, Crookedholm - from Glendoune House/Grougar Rd Crookedholm to junction with Grays Fuels Co Depot

The Order commences on Saturday 26th November 2022 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 08:00hrs Saturday 26th November until 06:00hrs on Monday 5th December 2022 and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from their properties- this may on occasion be via the diversion route.

Emergency access will be maintained at all times during the road closure via the diversion route

Alternative Routes:

Travelling from Crookedholm side of Crookedholm Rail Bridge proceed along B7073 Main Road to A71 Hurlford Roundabout, turn right (third exit) into A71 Riccarton Road and follow to Bellfield interchange, take 4^th exit into A735 Queens Drive Kilmarnock proceed along A735 onto Old Mill Rd continue on straight onto A735 Fowlds Street follow A735 turning right onto Titchfield Street, follow A735 left onto St Marnock street, follow A735 right onto John Finnie Street, at the top of John Finnie Street turn right on A735 onto West George Street follow A735 West George Street left then turn right onto Green Street; follow A735 Green Street then turn left into B7073 London Rd.

Travelling from London Road (Kilmarnock) side of Crookedholm Rail Bridge proceed along B7073 London Rd to its junction with A735 Sturrock Street Kilmarnock; turn right into the A735 at Sturrock Street and proceed to junction at A735 Old Mill Rd and turn left; follow A735 along Old Mill Rd and onto A735 Queens Drive follow A735 to Bellfield interchange and take the 2^nd exit into the A71 Riccarton Rd and follow the Riccarton Rd to Hurlford Roundabout and turn left (1^st Exit) into B7073 Main Rd Crookedholm.
