The Renfrewshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby gives notice that, because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads, no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven or cause or permit any vehicle (except works vehicles) to wait or load on the following length of road in the town of Johnstone in the Unitary Authority of Renfrewshire:
Closure: Phase 1: B789 Barrochan Road at its junction with Sandholes Road to approximately fifty metres south of Magnus Road.
Phase 2: B789 Barrochan Road at its junction approx. fifty metres south of Magnus Road to twenty metres south the River Inn car park entrance.
Phase 3: B789 Barrochan Road between Deafhillock round about to approx. fifty metres south of Magnus Road.
Reason for Restriction: Emergency Gas Works.
Vehicles left on the road in contravention of this Notice will be moved out of the works area.
Alternative Routes: Phase 1 - via Fulton Drive and Magnus Road.
Phase 2 - from Deafhillock Roundabout to the A761 Main Street, Bridge of Weir and on to the B790 Houston Road.
Phase 3 - from Deafhillock Roundabout to the A761 Main Street, Bridge of Weir and on to the B790 Houston Road.
This notice will be in force from Tuesday 20th September 2022 until repaired approx. 12 weeks.
This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2016.
