(B6405 MINTO ROAD & MELGUND GLEN, NORTH OF DENHOLM)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2023

The Scottish Borders Council (B6405 Minto Road & Melgund Glen, North of Denholm) (Temporary Closing) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 6 February 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 10 February 2023 between the hours of 08:45 and 16:00 each day. The Order is required for screed works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along:

1. Closure 1: the B6405 Minto Road, north of Denholm from 6 February to 8 February 2023; and
2. Closure 2: the B6405 at Melgund Glen, north of Denholm from a point approximately 30 metres north of its junction with the C44 to a point approximately 30 metres south of the same junction, from 9 February to 10 February 2023.

Closure 2 will not commence until Closure 1 has been completed.

The alternative routes for both closures are as follows:

For northbound traffic via the B6405, A698, A7, B6359 and B6405 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
