(TEMPORARY CLOSING) (AMENDMENT) NO 1 ORDER 2023

The Scottish Borders Council (Duke Street, Hawick) (Temporary Closing) (Amendment) No 1 Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 28 January 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 24:00 on 24 February 2023 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Hawick Flood Protection Scheme works. This is an amendment to the closure extent detailed in the previous Order dated 23 January 2023.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Duke Street, Hawick from Noble Place to Earl Street.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Earl Street, Arthur Street and Noble Place to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
