Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 00:00 on 24 July, 2014, until 24:00 on 31 October, 2014, is to impose a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the A944 Skene Road, Aberdeen, between a point 250 metres east of its junction with the B9119 Tarland Road the city boundary at Brodiach Burn, and also on the B9119 Tarland Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with the A944 Skene Road, Aberdeen, and the city boundary at Brodiach Burn. The restrictions are in the interests of public safety while a permanent traffic order progresses following road reconstruction and introduction of traffic signals.
