Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers Under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Esplanade, Aberdeen, Links Road and Accommodation Road, are to close as outlined in the schedule which will operate on Saturday, 2 August, 2014. Association with the closures, which are being introduced to protect public safety during the Jog Scotland event the following restrictions are in place. From 06:00 on Friday 1 August 2014 until 14:30 on Saturday 2 August 2014 there will be a prohibition of waiting at any time on either side of the same length of the Esplanade , from a point south of the Esplanade / Links Road roundabout (by the Beach Ballroom) to its junction the Bridge of Don. Also, in conjunction with this, from 06:00 to 14:30 on Saturday 2 August 2014 all southbound vehicles will be permitted access through the bus gate at the south end of the Bridge of Don (to reduce traffic congestion for southbound traffic). SCHEDULE Saturday 2 August 2014 Esplanade - from a point south of its junction with Links Road (beside the Beach Ballroom) to its junction with the Bridge of Don, between 06:00 and 14:30. Links Road - from its junction with Urquhart Road to the Esplanade roundabout, also from 06:00 until 14:30. Accommodation Road - from Park Road / Golf Road to the Esplanade, also from 06:00 until 14:30.
