Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to implement the restrictions listed below.

From 18:30 in the evening until 06:00 the following morning on evenings beginning 28, 29, and 30 May 2024, there will be a prohibition of straight ahead manoeuvres from Market Street, Aberdeen, on to Victoria Bridge, and from Victoria Bridge, Aberdeen, on to Market Street. There will also be a prohibition of left turn manoeuvres from Market Street, Aberdeen, on to North Esplanade East. Alternative routes are available via North Esplanade West, Queen Elizabeth Bridge, South Esplanade West, and Victoria Road, and via North Esplanade West south-westbound, Queen Elizabeth Bridge Roundabout, and North Esplanade West north-eastbound. Also, there will be a prohibition of waiting on the north side of Menzies Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Victoria Road to its junction with Walker Lane. The parking restrictions are necessary to allow buses to manoeuvre a diversion route.
The parking restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones, and illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during works for Scottish Water. Any queries regarding this restriction can be directed to Contraflow on 01738 449901, or scottishwater@contraflow.co.uk
