Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:00 on 3 June 2024, until 17:00 on 26 July 2024, is to
Impose a one-way restriction on Viewfield Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Springfield Road to the service road for numbers 54-78 Springfield Road. The permitted direction of travel will be eastbound only. An alternative route is available via Viewfield Crescent and Countesswells Road. There will be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Springfield Road, Aberdeen, between its northern junction with Springfield Gardens and its junction with Craigieburn Park, and on either side of the service road from the driveway at number 76 Springfield Road to the access to number 78 Springfield Road. The parking restrictions are required while temporary traffic signals are in operation on Springfield Road, and for a pedestrian diversion route. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during service connection and entrance construction works for a new development.
