On the 11 April 2024 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to:-

  1. drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the event works and those vehicles requiring access to land and properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on the lengths of roads as detailed in Schedule 1 below;
  2. cause or permit any motor vehicle to wait at any time on the lengths of road detailed in Schedule 2 below;

by reason of event works being executed on or near these roads.

Road Closure Alternative Route

The alternative routes will be by way of Dryburgh Road, Rosslyn Road, Eagle Crescent, Fairway, Westbourne Crescent, Iain Road, Iain Drive, Whitehurst, the A810 Duntocher Road, and Nithsdale Crescent and these routes will be sign posted

This Order will operate from 06.00 hours until 21.00 hours on Saturday, 20 April 2024.

SCHEDULE 1 – Temporary Road Closures

  1. Nithsdale Crescent, Bearsden - Closed between its junctions with Iain Road and Abbotsford Road/Kenilworth Crescent.
  2. Abbotsford Road, Bearsden - Closed between its junction with Dryburgh Road and Nithsdale Crescent.
  3. Kenilworth Crescent, Bearsden - Closed between its junction with Nithsdale Crescent and Rosslyn Road.

 

SCHEDULE 2 – Temporary No Waiting At Any Time

  1. Both sides of Nithsdale Crescent, Bearsden, between its junctions with Iain Road and Abbotsford Road/Kenilworth Crescent.
  2. Both sides of Abbotsford Road, Bearsden, between its junction with Dryburgh Road and Nithsdale Crescent.
  3. Both sides of Kenilworth Crescent, Bearsden, between its junction with Nithsdale Crescent and Rosslyn Road.
