MORAY COUNCIL (B9103 INCHBROOM ROAD, LOSSIEMOUTH) 40/30MPH SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2023

Moray Council has made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.     The general effect of the Order which will come into operation on 01/05/24 will be to introduce a 40mph speed limit buffer for vehicles entering Lossiemouth prior to the existing 30mph speed limit in line with current Guidelines and as specified in the Schedules to the order.

Following the approval on the 1st February 2010 of the Planning Application (08/01685/ FUL) submitted to Moray Council to build 57 residential properties on Site R5 as identified in the 2008 Local Plan off Inchbroom Road, Lossiemouth, a condition was placed upon the developer requiring an amendment to the speed limit on the B9103.  As a result of this it is proposed to create a new 40mph speed limit adjacent to the development frontage in the interests of road safety.  The Order is as specified in the Northern Scot on 29/09/23.

Full details are available for inspection free of charge at Elgin Library, Elgin during opening hours or may be accessed via the Tell Me Scotland website - www.tellmescotland.gov.uk until 26/04/24.
