THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL
(BORDERS FESTIVALS – LAUDER COMMON RIDING)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2014
The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Sections 14(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers under section 16A(6) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of two days, will be in effect on Wednesday 30 July and Saturday 2 August 2014. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being Lauder Common Riding 2014.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle, or permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked, along those lengths of road on the dates and at the times specified in the Schedule below

A68 from East High Street northwards to the war memorial, Mid Row, The Avenue
Road Closures 18:00 to 21:00
A68 through Lauder from its junction with Stow Road to its Junction with Factor’s Park
Alternative Route – Northbound – east on the B6362 to High Cross and north on the A697 to rejoin the A68
Southbound – the above in reverse.

07:00 to 14:00 - A68 through Lauder from its junction with Stow Road to its junction with Factor’s Park (except for horse box access)
17:30 to 19:00 - A68 through Lauder from its junction with Stow Road to its junction with Factor’s Park
Alternative Route – Northbound – east via the B6362 to High Cross and north on the A697 to rejoin the A68
Southbound – the above in reverse.
