TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE NOTICE

ABBOTSFORD ROAD, GALASHIELS

In accordance with Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Scottish Borders Council will temporarily close the footway on Abbotsford Road, Galashiels from Abbotsford Terrace to Paterson Street.  The maximum duration of this Notice is 21 days and it is expected that the footway closure will be in effect from 09:00 on 1 April 2024 to 18:00 on 10 April 2024 - 24 hour closure.

The alternative pedestrian route will be via the existing crossing points and utilising the footway on the opposite side of Abbotsford Road.

The footway closure is required to permit urgent Scottish Power works.

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be made under Section 14(1) of the above Act which will close Abbotsford Terrace and Paterson Street, Galashiels with effect from 09:00 on 4 April 2024 until 18:00 on 10 April 2024.
