(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (Paxton Terrace, Eyemouth) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:00 on 8 April 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:00 on 12 April 2024 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Scottish Power works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Paxton Terrace, Eyemouth from Albert Road to Number 3.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Paxton Terrace, Upper Houndlaw, Coldingham Road and Albert Road to the point of closure and for westbound traffic is via Albert Road, Northburn Road, Hurkur Crescent, Beach Avenue, Upper Houndlaw and Paxton Terrace to the point of closure.
