(Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Notice 2023
NOTICE is hereby given under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will prohibit waiting on the following lengths of road to allow Scottish Water Works
Name & affected length of road – Belmont Road, Ayr, Road closed on Belmont Road for 40 meters
No waiting restriction on Belmont Road for 30 meters both sides of the road from Meadow Park junction to number 42 No waiting restriction on Nursery Road for 40 meters both sides of the road from Belmont Road junction to number 5 No waiting restriction on Belmont Road for 50 meters both sides of the road from Nursery Road junction to number 35 No waiting restriction on Meadow Park for 50 meters both sides of the road from Belmont Road junction to Belmont Drive junction

Nature and period of restriction - Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time
This Notice commences on 01 March 2023 and has a maximum duration of 5 days or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner. The works are expected to commence from 01 March 2023 at 09:30 with the restrictions remaining until 01 March 2023 at 18:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Notice will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.
Alternative route - Signed via Details of Belmont Road > Belmont Avenue > Chalmers Road > Castlehill Road > Dalmellington Road > Burnbank Road > Fernwick Avenue > end and vice versa
