Road users are being advised that Wardie Road in Easterhouse will be closed to vehicles from Monday 18 July 2016, for approximately three weeks.

The closure, between Ware Road and Struie Street, is necessary to allow waterproofing work to be undertaken safely on Wardie Road bridge over the M8 Motorway, Easterhouse.

A local diversion route will be in place. Road users should follow the signed diversions northbound via Wellhouse Road, Bartiebeith Road, Westerhouse Road, Bogbain Road and return to Wardie Road. Southbound traffic follows the reverse route.

Pedestrian access across the bridge will be maintained during these works..

In order to minimise disruption as far as possible, Scottish Roads Partnership has scheduled these works to be carried out during the summer holidays, with operations planned between the hours of 07:00 to 19:00, seven days a week, to complete the waterproofing as quickly as possible.
