Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose the temporary restrictions listed below.
Phase 1; until 26 June 2023. There will be a prohibition of driving on Oldmeldrum Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Mugiemoss Road to a point 55m north of its junction with Bankhead Road. An alternative route is available via Mugiemoss Road and Mill Drive. There will be a one-way restriction on Bankhead Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Oldmeldrum Road to the eastern boundary of numbers 25-31 Bankhead Road. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. An alternative route is available via the Bankhead Avenue, Greenburn Drive, Inverurie Road, and Mugiemoss Road.
Phase 2; From 26 June 2023. There will be a prohibition of driving on Oldmeldrum Road, Aberdeen, from a point 20m south of its junction with Mugiemoss Road to a point 55m north of its junction with Bankhead Road, and on Mugiemoss Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Oldmeldrum Road to the access road at the side of number 15 Mugiemoss Road, and on Bankhead Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Oldmeldrum Road to the eastern boundary of numbers 25-31 Bankhead Road. Alternative routes are available via the A92 Mugiemoss Road, A96 Great Northern Road, Auchmill Road, Inverurie Road, and A947 New Stoneywood Road, and via Bankhead Avenue, and via Mill Drive and Mugiemoss Crescent.
