Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Kirk Terrace, Aberdeen, from its junction with Hilltop Avenue to the boundary between number 28 and 30 Kirk Terrace from 09:00 on 7th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 8th February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Garden Road and Kirk Place; Kirk Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Kirk Terrace and Garden Road from 09:00 on 9th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 10th February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Kirk Terrace and Garden Road; Friarsfield Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Kirk Brae and Friarsfield Avenue from 09:00 on 13th February, 2023, until 07:00 on 15th February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Kirk Brae, North Deeside Road and Abbotshall Road; Kirk Brae, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Friarsfield Road and Kirk Place from 18:00 on 15th February, 2023, until 16:00 on 16th February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Countesswells Road, Springfield Road and North Deeside Road; Garden Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Kirk Terrace to the boundary between number 8 and 10 Garden Road from 09:00 on 20th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 21st February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Kirk Terrace and Kirk Place; Garden Road, Aberdeen the boundary between number 5 and 7 Garden Road to the entrance for the Nos 21-35 Garage Lock Ups from 09:00 on 22nd February, 2023, until 17:00 on 23rd February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Kirk Terrace and Kirk Place; Kirk Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Kirk Brae and Garden Road from 09:00 on 27th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 28th February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Kirk Brae, Kirk Terrace and Garden Road.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on all the same stretch of roads.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
