Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 04:00 on 14 February 2023 until 17:00 on 17 February 2023, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on to St. Andrews, Charlotte Street and Blackfriars Street at its junction with Crooked Lane / Charlotte Street from, Charlotte Street from John Street, St. Andrews Street from George Street and George Street from John Street south bound only this will allow buses only to travel though St. Andrews Street and George Street south bound only, Blackfriars Street will be closed from Rosemount Viaduct / Schoolhill northbound we will maintain access for Bon Accord car park at Harriet Street via St Andrews Street / Blacfriars Street south bound only residential access will be maintain by the contractor only for the durations of the works. There will be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the road, and prohibition of waiting for the duration of the works. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated using no-waiting cones. These measures are necessary to protect public safety during ACC traffic signals upgrade, road markings.
