Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Kirk Crescent North, Aberdeen, from its junction with Hilltop Road to the boundary between number 9 and 11 Kirk Crescent North from 09:00 on 24th April, 2023, until 17:00 on 25th April, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cults Avenue and Kirk Crescent South; Hillview Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Cults Avenue to the boundary between number 3 and 5 Hillview Road from 09:00 on 26th April, 2023, until 17:00 on 27th April, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cults Avenue, Hillview Crescent and Hillview Drive; Hillview Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Hillview Drive to the boundary between number 13 and 15 Hillview Road from 09:00 on 2nd May, 2023, until 17:00 on 3rd May, 2023. An alternative route is available via Hillview Drive. Hillview Terrace and Netherby Road.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Fri; Cults Avenue, Cults Court, Cults Gardens, Darroch Park, Hilltop Road, Hillview Drive, Hillview Road, Hillview Terrace, Kirk Crescent North, Kirk Crescent South, Kirk Drive, Netherby Road, North Deeside Road, Cults, Quarry Road, Cults, School Road, Cults, South Avenue, West Cults Road, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 30th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 10th May, 2023.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.
