Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Jopps Lane, Aberdeen, from its junction with St Andrew Street to the entrance for St Andrew Court from 09:00 on 13th May, 2023, until 17:00 on 14th May, 2023. An alternative route is available via St Andrew Street, George Street and John Street.
The one-way system on Jopps Lane, Aberdeen, between its junctions with St Andrew Street and John Street will be suspended from 09:00 on 13th May, 2023, until 17:00 on 14th May, 2023 to allow egress from properties.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Fri; Charlotte Street, John Street, Jopps Lane St Andrew Street, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 12th May, 2023, until 17:00 on 1st June, 2023
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.
