Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 on 10 April 2023, until 18:00 on 23 April 2023, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Clifton Road, Aberdeen, from the boundary between numbers 114-116 and 116-118 Clifton Road to the boundary between numbers 143 and 145 Clifton Road, and on Clifton Lane, Aberdeen, from its junction with Clifton Road to the garage access at the rear of number 122 Clifton Road. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on the same stretches of road. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. An alternative route is available via Hilton Street, Hilton Drive, and Hilton Road. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on the south-west side of Clifton Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Hilton Street to a point approximately 25m in south-easterly direction between the paths leading to numbers 99 and 101-103 Clifton Road. this no-waiting restriction is to allow buses to manoeuvre a diversion route. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during works for Scottish Water.
