Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order, which will operate from 09:00 on 26th April, 2023, until 06:00 on 28th April, 2023, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Carnie Drive, Aberdeen, from its junction with Back Hilton Road to a point 5 metres in a southerly direction. An alternative route is available via Back Hilton Road, Ashgrove Road and Beattie Avenue.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on Back Hilton Road, Aberdeen from the boundary between number 34/40 and 42/48 Back Hilton Road to the boundary between number 50/56 and 58/64 Back Hilton Road.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
