ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984

The City of Edinburgh Council proposes to make an Order under sections 1(1) and 152(2) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 re-determining the roads described in the Schedule hereto.

The title of the Order is “The City of Edinburgh Council (Orchard Drive/Queensferry Road, Edinburgh) (Redetermination of Means of Exercise of Public Right of Passage) Order 202_” - RSO/22/05.

A copy of the proposed Order and of the accompanying plan showing the roads over which the means of exercise of the public right of passage is to be re-determined, together with a statement of the reasons for making the Order including our privacy notice, can be viewed free of charge either at Waverley Court reception between 09:30 & 15:30 Mon – Fri, or online from 03/03/23 to 31/03/23 at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/trafficorders or www.tellmescotland.gov.uk.

Any person may object to the making of the Order, by notice, quoting reference RSO/22/05 in writing to TRAFFIC ORDERS, WAVERLEY COURT, 4 EAST MARKET STREET, EDINBURGH, EH8 8BG, or by email to TRO.Consultations@edinburgh.gov.uk by 31/03/23. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULE ROAD OVER WHICH MEANS OF EXERCISE OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF PASSAGE IS TO BE REDETERMINED FROM CARRIAGEWAY TO FOOTWAY Orchard Drive/Queensferry Road 1.All that part of the carriageway on the north-east side of Queensferry Road and the north-west side of Orchard Drive, from a point 2.5 metres or thereby north-west of the extended north-western kerbline of Craigleith Drive, south-eastwards and then eastwards for a distance of 47 metres or thereby and which has a width that varies from 0 metres to 16.5 metres or thereby. 2. All that part of the carriageway on the north-east side of Queensferry Road and the south-east side of Orchard Drive, from a point 35 metres or thereby south-east of the extended south-eastern kerbline of Craigleith Drive, north-westwards, northwards and then north-eastwards for a distance of 22 metres or thereby and which has a width that varies from 0 metres to 4.6 metres or thereby.
