NOTICE is hereby given under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will prohibit waiting on the following lengths of road to allow BT Works 

Name & affected length of road – Lugar Street, Approx. 165m. 

Road Closure - Lugar Street, Approx. 165m

No Waiting -   Lugar Street, Cumnock, Hamilton Place

Prohibition of Turns  - Banned Left Turn from Lugar Street onto Hamilton Place and banned right turn from Hamilton Place to Barrhill Road

Suspension of One way Operation - The one way operation from Lugar Street to Barrhill Road will be suspended to facilitate access/egress
 

Nature and period of restriction - Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time

This Notice commences on 28 March 2023 and has a maximum duration of 5 days or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner. The works are expected to commence from 28 March 2023 at 07:00 with the restrictions remaining until 28 March 2023 at 19:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Notice will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.

Alternative route - Signed via Hamilton Place in both directions.
