APPLICATION FOR A TEMPORARY PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE

PROPOSED FUNFAIR AT THOMAS SHANKS PUBLIC PARK, JOHNSTONE

 

 

NOTICE is hereby given that an application for a public entertainment licence has been submitted to Renfrewshire Council by Trevor Smith, 180/190 Clydehome Road, Whiteinch, Glasgow, G14 0QQ in respect of a Family Funfair which falls under the category of Fairground at Thomas Shanks Public Park, Johnstone. The proposed times of operation are 19 May 2023 from 6.00pm until 9.30pm and 20 May 2023 to 29 May 2023 from 1.30pm until 9.30pm.

 

Any objection or representation relating to the application shall be entertained by the licensing authority if, but only if, the objection or representation-

 

(a) is in writing;

(b) specifies the grounds of the objection or, as the case may be, the nature of the representation;

(c) specifies the name and address of the person making it;

(d) is signed by him or on his behalf;

(e) was made to them by 28 March 2023.

 

It shall be competent for a licensing authority to entertain an objection or representation received by them before they take a final decision upon the application if they are satisfied that there is sufficient reason why it was not made in the time required as in accordance with the above.

 

An objection or representation shall be made if it is delivered by hand within the timescale stated above or posted (by registered or recorded delivery post) so that in the normal course of post it might be expected to be delivered to the licensing authority within that timescale.
