(MANSFIELD ROAD, HAWICK)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2023

The Scottish Borders Council (Mansfield Road, Hawick) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 20 January 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 4 May 2023. The Order is required for Hawick Flood Protection Scheme works.

When the Order comes into effect:

(a)   a One Way Order in a westerly direction will be in force on Mansfield Road, Hawick from Mansfield Gardens to Mansfield Crescent – no person shall drive in an easterly direction. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Mansfield Crescent, Mansfield Park and Mansfield Gardens; and

(b)   no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on both sides of Mansfield Road, Hawick from Mansfield Crescent to Mansfield Gardens.  This no waiting restriction will be in effect only when appropriate traffic signs are displayed on the affected length of road
