(D7/3 OVERHALL & MARTINHOUSE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2023

The Scottish Borders Council (D7/3 Overhall & Martinhouse) (Temporary Closing) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 07:30 on 30 January 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:30 on 30 April 2023 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for installation of new power cable.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D7/3 at Overhall and Martinhouse as follows:

1. Closure 1: D7/3 Overhall - from Wilton Park Road to Wiltonburn Road. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Wilton Park Road and Overhall Road to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and
2. Closure 2: D7/3 Martinhouse - from Martins Bridge to Overhall. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the B711, A7, Albert Road, Victoria Road, Roadhead, Sunnyhill Road, Dean Road, Overhall Road and the D7/3 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Closure 1 will be completed before Closure 2 commences.

Access for pedestrians, cyclists and horseriders will be maintained throughout both closures.
