(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2023

The Scottish Borders Council (Chapel Street, Selkirk) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 6 February 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 14 April 2023 – 24 hour restriction. The Order is required for SGN gas main replacement works.

When the Order comes into effect, on Chapel Street, Selkirk, from Scott’s Place to Ettrick Terrace:

  1. a One Way Order will be in force in a westerly direction. No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in an easterly direction; and
  2. no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked.

The alternative route for westbound traffic is via Ettrick Terrace, Market Place and High Street to the point of closure.
