(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2023

The Scottish Borders Council (Walters Wynd, Hawick) (Temporary Closing) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 20 March 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 26 May 2023 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Hawick Flood Protection Scheme works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Walters Wynd, Hawick from High Street to Teviot Road.

The alternative route for westbound traffic is via Baker Street and Teviot road to the point of closure.
