ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE

B709 THE LEAY, INNERLEITHEN

In accordance with Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Scottish Borders Council will temporarily close the B709 at The Leay, Innerleithen. The maximum duration of this Notice is 21 days and it is expected that the closure will be in effect from 21 March 2023 to 24 March 2023 between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day.

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be made under Section 14(1) of the above Act which will close the B709 at The Leay, Innerleithen from 27 March 2023 until 31 March 2023 between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day.

The closure is required for resurfacing works.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the B709, A72, B710, A7 and B709 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
