(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

On 08 December 2022 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to facilate layby installation being carired out by a windfarm developer.

Temporary Road Closure –

U62, Phase 1 - From its junction with the U19 at Chapelbarr Cottage south then eastwards for a distance of 2600 metres.

U44, Phase 2 - From its junction with the A77(T) at Croftengee Bridge south then eastwards for a distance of 2150 metres to its junction with the U38. 

U38, Phase 3 - From its junction wit the U44 southwards for a distance of 260 metres to its junction with the U62.

The Order commences on 09 January 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 09 January 2023 at 09:00 with the closure remaining in place until 03 March 2023 at 16:00.  Phase 1 U62 will commence on 09 January 2023 until 27 January 2023.  Phase 2 U44 will commence on 30 January 2023 until 01 March 2023.   Phase 3 U38 will commence on 02 March 2023 until 03 March 2023.  Only one phase at a time.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.

An alternative route will be signed. Phase 1 via A77(T), U38 and vice versa.  Phase 2 via B741, U49 and vice versa.  Phase 3 via C44, U49 and vice versa.
