South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, A71 Kirk Street/B743 Muirkirk Road, Strathaven, Temporary Road Restriction Order No. 1 2023” and shall come into operation between 27 March 2023 until 10 April 2023 daily between the hours of 2100 hours - 0600 hours. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Whilst this order remains in force no person shall park, drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the sections of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason Kype Muir Wind Farm abnormal load delivery .
Schedule 1 – Temporary Waiting and Loading Restriction
A71 Kirk Street, Strathaven (both sides) from its junction at the entrance to Sainsburys westwards to its junction with B743 Muirkirk Road a total distance of 138 metres or thereby.
B743 Muirkirk Road, Strathaven (both sides) from its junction with A71 Kirk Street south-westwards to its junction with Muirkirk Gardens a total of 213 metres or thereby.
